Limited double vinyl LP pressing. Herzeleidis the debut album by GermanNeue Deutsche HrtebandRammstein. It was released on 29 September 1995. The album’s original cover depicted the band members’ upper bodies without clothing. This caused critics to accuse the band of trying to sell themselves as “poster boysfor themaster race”. The album is a culmination of the relationship troubles of all but one of the six band members, hence the title Herzeleid (heartbreak). Rammstein formed in 1994 inBerlin. Throughout it’s existence, Rammstein’s six-man lineup has remained unchanged-lead guitaristRichard Z. Kruspe, bassistOliver “Ollie” Riedel, drummerChristoph “Doom” Schneider, lead vocalistTill Lindemann, rhythm guitaristPaul H. Landers, and keyboardistChristian “Flake” Lorenz.
