From the European tour at the end of 1980, which was held during the period when “The Game” was a big hit all over the world and the soundtrack of “Flash Gordon” was a hot topic, the performance in Brussels, Belgium on December 13th is the first appearance with a high-quality and complete recording of the highest level of sound quality as an audience recording of this period. The opening “Jailhouse Rock” has a muffled sound image, but it transforms into a wonderful sound quality from the ending of the second song WWRY, and after that it is recorded with excellent level of high sound quality until the end. On this day, as with the first day performance at Wembley in London on December 8th, you can listen to an irregular set in which We Will Rock You / We Are The Champions are played after Bohemian Rhapsody, Another One Bites … / Sheer Heart Attack is played as an encore, and Tie Your Mother Down is played before God Save The Queen as the closing of the concert. Perhaps it was the second day at the same venue, so I tried a “new stage set list”. There’s no way that Queen’s performance at this time of year could be bad, and they’ll give you plenty of high-quality performances with a lot of enthusiasm. Freddie is in good form, so you can enjoy the whole concert comfortably. This is the definitive version, with the pitch, which was slightly high at the master stage, perfectly adjusted.
