From the 1990 American tour by the trio consisting of Dave Holland and Roy Haynes, this live performance was vividly recorded on that day with a clearer and more lustrous sound than the DAT tape of the audience recording of the October performance in Northampton, Massachusetts. The title has appeared. From the American tour that started after the release of the album “Questions and Answers”, only the Philadelphia performance on October 10th was unofficially released, and many enthusiasts complained, “Isn’t there another sound source?” There were voices too. Meanwhile, the live performance at Northampton Academy that was suddenly released was an audience recording, but the setlist was different from the Philadelphia performance, and it included everything from classic songs to Metheny’s originals, and the album title was “Question.”And Answer” is also played. Metheny’s guitar played with overwhelming tension as well as the swinging performances of the two veterans Holland and Haynes, making it exciting to listen to. The most important thing is the sound quality, but since we use digital tape recorded with DAT instead of cassette tape, you can fully enjoy the live performance of the day with no deterioration in sound quality.
