The Martinez Brothers follow up last year’s “Don’t Know Yet” with a set of proper New York house tunes. Driving percussion and a deep, thick bassline are at the foundation of “The Causeway,” with soulful vocal samples rounding out the track. “Issshhh!” works with classic elements – stuttering keys, groove-driven kicks, atmospheric synths – to create hard-hitting, updated sounds that are deep yet dancefloor oriented. “Beats” version included, recommended.
