Let’s theorize for a second – say, like, you’re locked in mortal conflict with hideously cute creatures that call the deep, dungeness cave system of a massive mountain home sweet home. You, on the other hand, are a ripped, sword-whirling barbarian hunk of a family man, just tryin’ make ends meet by slaying these creeps, jerks and slobs as part of a hard day’s livin’. Posit, for a moment then, and consider what kind of tunes you’d listen to while grinding away. It’s the music of composer Sam Webster that would make those long, sunless days breeze by, no doubt. His ephemeral hip-hop beats and spooky synth jive are the stuff of monster mashin’ legend, made better only by the amazing guts-covered album art by Nuri Durr, which protects your Grindstone vinyl from sword scratches and other household implements of destruction.
