NEW VINYL LP ON ISLAND 2010.
Defiant and spontaneous, Paul Weller king of mod continues to shake societys norms to the core with his energetic, forward-thinking, tenth studio albumWake Up The Nation, featuring the bluesy ‘Grasp And Still Connect’, quirky Motown-influenced ‘Two Fat Ladies’ and the epic, beautiful ‘Trees’ – a poignant musing on the passing of his father.Featuring the sublime songwriting that weve come to expect from Paul,Wake Up The Nationconsists of 16 tracks that pack a punch, with punk-driven guitars, 60s Mellotron, glorious melodies, instrumental interludes and sweeping string arrangements. Not quite a Jam reunion, but as close as we may ever get, this confirms once again that Weller today is as vital a musical force as he ever was, but with plenty left to say.http://www.paulweller.com/
