Live In Wolverhampton captures Glenn Hughes in peak form across two unforgettable nights in his hometown in June 2009. The first performance showcases highlights from his solo career, blending hard rock, funk, and soul with unmatched vocal power and emotional depth. Hughes commands the stage with raw intensity, delivering classics with renewed fire and introspection. The second night is a heartfelt tribute to Trapeze, the legendary band that launched his career, featuring a full set of rarely performed deep cuts. This dual-concert release offers a rare glimpse into Hughes’ full musical spectrum-from soaring ballads to thunderous riffs. His voice, often dubbed “The Voice of Rock,” is on full display, unfiltered and electrifying. Backed by a tight, dynamic band, the performances are rich in groove, grit, and authenticity. The recording captures the energy of the crowd and the intimacy of the venue, making it a standout live document. Whether revisiting his legacy or discovering it anew, Live In Wolverhampton is a powerful testament to Glenn Hughes’ enduring artistry. A must-have for fans of Deep Purple, Trapeze, and classic rock with soul.
